We invest years learning skills that technology can automate in weeks.

By 2030, more than half of the skills valued today may be automated, nearly six in ten workers will need to reskill or upskill, and only 13% of Europeans feel genuinely engaged at work. These figures point to a challenge that goes beyond technology: a growing crisis of meaning and purpose in the workplace. The pace of change is not slowing down. The question is what we do with that.

The Association

Future Jobs Design is a Romanian non-profit association founded in 2026, built around one idea: people deserve work that fits who they are, not just work that is available.

We were founded at a moment when automation is reshaping entire industries and the systems designed to support career transition are failing the people who need them most. Our methodology was developed and tested since 2021. The association is the structure that makes it available to more people, starting in Romania and growing internationally.

We work at the intersection of design thinking, foresight, and skills mapping. We support individuals navigating professional transitions.

We build bridges between industries and the people who want to contribute to them with purpose.

For individuals:

Tools and methods to pivot your career with confidence, grounded in your values, your talent, and where you want to go.

For organisations:

Creative leadership training, consultancy, and programs that connect business strategy with human potential.

For society:

Research, advocacy, and public policy proposals that shape how Romania and the region approach the future of work.

The method

Future Jobs Design is a holistic process that starts from who you are and builds outward. Four dimensions. One journey.

01  THE PERSONAL

Who are you, really? Not your job title but what drives you? What can be negotiated, and what cannot?

02  THE PROFESSIONAL

What are your genuine strengths? And where are your edges: the places where you can stretch without snapping?

03  THE PRACTITIONER

What skills travel with you across industries, across contexts? Map them. Name them. Own them.

04  THE VISIONARY

How do you design a role that does not just sustain you but makes you an agent of change?

Organisations and companies who want to co-build this through funding, programming, or opening doors to people and communities who need it most.

Promoter

You carry the message. You share the work, open conversations, and bring new people into the movement. Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply telling someone this exists.

Facilitator

You deliver the method. You bring Future Jobs Design into your community, school, or organization, and make the process real for the people around you.

Pioneer

You go first. You test the method on your own career, your own transition. And in doing so, you become the proof that change is possible.
